How To Clean Your Make-up Brushes

Hello all,

Today I'm doing a quick blog about washing/ cleaning your make-up brushes! Its so important to keep your make-up brushes clean as oil, dirt and bacteria can build up in them which will not be doing your skin any favours. Also old make-up will build up in the brushes so you wont get a flawless application and colours can get muddied together.

Every one is going mad for the new brush cleaning mitts, devices and the like, and lets face it this one here from Sigma looks just amazing, but at about £30 it can be a bit pricey for some. So I have found a really cheap alternative.
I found this silicone coaster in The Range for £1 and its just so perfect for cleaning brushes!!! For full instructions keep reading :)

What you will need:
-Dirty make-up brushes
-Silicone ridged coaster
-Baby Shampoo
-Bowl or Dish
-Towel

Pour some baby shampoo into your dish.

dip your brush into the bowl and pick up some baby shampoo.

I like to splash a very small amount of water onto the brush to help the shampoo foam,
then swirl the brush around on the mat for 10-20 seconds depending on how dirty your brush is.

Rinse all of the shampoo out of the brush then squeeze all of the excess water out.
If you find your brush is still dirt just repeat the above steps and wash it again.

Once all of your brushes are washed place them on the towel.
You want to put them somewhere that the bristles can over hang like the edge of a table or unit, this helps the brustles to air dry.

I really hope this was useful for you all :) Have fun cleaning your brushes. Does anyone use anything different? Id love to hear from you.
