Isolated Heros and Embellished Eyebrows!!!!

Hi readers,

Recently I have been working with Samantha and her amazing team at the Luxury Unisex Street wear label Isolated Heroes. This label is unlike any other, the colours and prints are amazing, bold, bright and vivid and every new piece I see I fall in love with!!

You can view the amazing collection at the ASOS Shop  HERE

Today I am going to show you how to make some gorgeous stick on embellished eyebrows that I invented for using in the Isolated Heroes Fashion Film. I’m sure other people have made similar eyebrows, but I yet to see them.

After meeting Sam and browsing through her pervious looks I knew exactly what she wanted make-up wise for the film. Big, bold and visually exciting, just like the amazing clothes she has designed. This is when I thought embellished eyebrows would look amazing, however due to previous experience I knew this could be fiddly and time consuming. I had to come up with something I could make before hand and stick on in seconds, here follows nights of me sitting up till midnight making pairs upon pairs of these.

1 get some light mesh material and a laundry basin
2 Use some sectioning clips to clip the material to the basin
3 Find a selection of bindis, sequins, diamantes and anything sparkly you want
4 Use tweezers to glue each embellishment on (I used PVA but next time I will be using super glue)
5 make lots of different kinds
6 Use eyelash glue to stick them on your gorgeous model!!!!

Now the first time I wore these they came off no bother with cleanser and baby oil, however the second time I wasn’t so careful and ended up pulling out bits of my eyebrows, so I suggest soaping the eyebrows down first then gluing them on!!!

I used these eyebrows whilst doing make up for the Isolated Heroes Fashion Film, Rave and Film Launch party and they went down a storm.

Let me know what you all think, have you ever tried similar eyebrows and do you think this little tip will be useful?

Have you got any Isolated Heroes Clothes and do you love them?

Love you all

Amazing Elf Brushes

So recently I have had lots of people asking me about brushes. What brushes do I use, what brushes should they use, what brushes are easiest to use and what brushes can they buy that don’t break the bank, so today I thought I would do a little post about elf brushes and my all time new favourite brush.

I do have a full range of professional brushes which are mostly MAC and Bare Minerals, however recently I have really loved the Elf brush range. They are easy to use, give great results, the prices are fantastic and in my opinion they are perfect to be used in a professional kit or for home use!! Here is a picture of my recent brush purchase.

If you have worked with me at all in the past 3 weeks I’m sure you would have heard me talking about my new favourite brush! It is the Elf Studio powder brush, and at £3.75 it’s such a bargain!

This brush can be bought here

It is such a perfect all rounder, as although it is sold as a powder brush you can use it for almost anything on the face. I think this is the perfect alternative foundation brush to MAC’s 187 Duo Fibre brush at £32.50.

When doing my own make-up I use this brush to apply, blend and buff my foundation, apply and blend my cream blusher and also apply powder.

If you aren’t already hooked on this brush have a look at the flawless finish it gave to this gorgeous model Katie on a recent shoot with the talented Zoe Barrie of Photos By Zoe.

One last use to this brush. I used it to cover a models entire body in gold paint!!!

Hopefully after reading this blog everyone will be convinced to buy this amazing brush and some of the other great brushes that ELF has to offer!!!

Let me know what you thought of my blog post and if you have ever tried any ELF brushes or any of their products <3
